The course focuses on the usage of the handgun from inside and around vehicles. During the course you will learn how to react to an attack when you are driving or seated in a vehicle, how to exit a vehicle under fire and how to correctly use a vehicle as cover.

Shooting on the move and Shooting while wounded class ($135)
SSWTS Lake Fork Sportsman's Club 350 N 1375 E, Atwood, ILThis class is all about shooting on the move and engaging targets while moving forward, backward, and at various angles. Manipulation of your weapon (i.e. malfunctions-clearing and speed loads) on-the-move. Target engagement while moving at a run or sprint pace and then quickly deescalating to a walk pace. The main emphasis while shooting on the move is on "fast manipulation, slow marksmanship".
Vehicle Fighting 1 & 2 ($350)

All gun-handling and gun fighting skills will be tested. Stress will be applied in all drills for speed, accuracy and efficiency!

Shooter School recognizes that ammunition is a concern for live fire training. Air soft and simunitions weapons will be utilized for this training. Role players will be used to act out scenarios that will require you to make life saving or life taking decisions.

This course is designed to help students learn how to effectively and safely fully disassemble, and re-assemble all variants of AR15, M16, M-4 and AR-10 style rifles, diagnose malfunctions and how to perform corrective actions and repairs. This will save you the energy and time to get your weapon up and running.

Carbine/Pistol Transition Class ($135)
SSWTS Lake Fork Sportsman's Club 350 N 1375 E, Atwood, ILKnowing when to transition from a carbine to a pistol is another of those subjective determinations.
The rule of thumb is 25 yards. Outside of 25 yards' pistol accuracy is considered generally marginal and there is enough time to reload the rifle.
Inside 25 yards the threat is more immediate and there is little or no time to work the rifle and transitioning to a working and loaded weapon is recommended.
