Conceal Carry Permit Classes
Illinois CCW 3hr Renewal
If your getting close to that 5 years it’s time to re-qual and renew your CCW.
Below is the curriculum for the class:
- All applicable State and Federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of a firearm;
- 2 hours Classroom Recommended
The Act relating to the ownership, storage, carry and transportation of a firearm
- with emphasis on 430 ILCS 66/10(h) which includes instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
- with emphasis on 430 ILCS 66/65 which includes instruction on prohibited areas and the parking lot exception.
The FOID Act 430 ILCS 65/1 et. seq.
Relevant portions of the ILCS including but not limited to
- 720 ILCS 5/7-1. Use of force in defense of a person**
- 720 ILCS 5/7-2. Use of force in defense of dwelling**
- 720 ILCS 5/7-3. Use of force in defense of other property**
- 720 ILCS 24/1 et. seq. Unlawful Use of Weapons**
** Must define dwelling, aggressor, forcible felony and unlawful use of weapons pursuant to the ILCS.
Weapon Handling; 1 hour Range Recommended
- Handgun fundamentals
- Handgun concealment
- Live fire qualification instruction
- Live fire qualification with a concealable firearm consisting of minimum of 30 rounds which must include 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards; 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards; and 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the Illinois State Police.
It’s a mandatory 3 hours for the class. Illinois CCL Renewal Class for the IL CCL Permit can be taken up to 1 year prior to permit expiration, but application cannot be submitted prior to the 90 days before expiration of existing CCL. Upon completion of the concealed carry course, students will have to complete a CCW Permit Application with the Illinois State Police. The fee for your concealed carry license is $153.53.

8hr Illinois CONCEALED CARRY CLASS
Only for Military/Retired LE or anyone who meets the requirements.
This CCW Concealed Carry course is an 8 hour course designed to satisfy requirements set forth by the State of Illinois, to allow an individual to apply for a Concealed Carry License (CCL), for Military Veterans, Retired L/E or any civilian who meets the requirements for the one day class. The curriculum offered during this course has been certified by the State of Illinois, and the instruction will be delivered by professional firearm trainers with significant law enforcement and training experience.
All primary instructors have been certified by the State of Illinois as both CCL instructors and Master Firearm Instructors for law enforcement. After this course, individuals are provided with a State of Illinois certified curriculum which covers more than the minimum requirements suggested by the Illinois State Police and State of Illinois.
What to Bring:
- State of Illinois ID and Valid FOID Card
- Weather Appropriate Attire
- Pistol Pistol Holster
- 2-3 Magazines
- Magazine Holder
- 60 Rounds of Ammo
- Eye & Ear Protection

16 Hour Conceal Carry Permit Class
16 hours spread over 1 OR 2 days.
Prerequisites:
This CCW Concealed Carry course is a two (2) day, 16+ hour course designed to satisfy requirements set forth by the State of Illinois, to allow an individual to apply for a Concealed Carry License (CCL). The course combines classroom and range use through two days of instruction. The curriculum offered during this course has been certified by the State of Illinois, and the instruction will be delivered by professional firearm trainers with significant law enforcement and training experience. All primary instructors have been certified by the State of Illinois as both CCL instructors and Master Firearm Instructors for law enforcement.
During the two day course, individuals are provided with a State of Illinois certified curriculum which covers more than the minimum requirements suggested by the Illinois State Police and State of Illinois.
In Addition to the required 16 Hour course for the state of IL you will also receive the following.
